"Breastfeeding counsellors never cease to amaze me! Thanks so much to
Eszter for all the helpful advice I received. I thought I just had a few smaller,
unrelated questions - whether or not to unlatch when my baby was letting
go of her deep latch, what amount of spitting up was normal, whether others
also experienced the constant worry about blocked ducts that I had?
But rather than just giving quick answers, Eszter took the time to do a full
assessment, and concluded that all of the (what I thought were) separate
things I was describing about our experience all pointed to an issue with
oversupply! Now that I read up on this based on the further materials she
sent, everything suddenly makes so much sense. I have a completely new
understanding of my and my baby's situation and experience. As a result, I
was able to tweak a few little things following Eszter's suggestions (in case
anyone has a similar issue: what has made a huge and instant difference was
to feed in koala hold rather than cross cradle - genius!!), and everything
suddenly got so much easier and more comfortable! It's amazing and I'm so
grateful for how well Eszter spotted what was going on, and how instantly
effective her advice has been. I'd recommend to everyone to speak to a
breastfeeding advisor even if you don't actually think there's a serious
problem to address - you might well still come away with a whole new
understanding of your breastfeeding situation, and just a few little tweaks
could make a huge difference."
